Strategic Pricing Manager for market leader agro industry - Badenoch + Clark

Our client has multiple commercial strategy teams, across the organization. This relative new team, responsible for the EMEA region and Russia, ensures continuous margin optimization and supports commercial leaders in solving challenging business problems. Think of topics such as maximizing profitability, anticipating market changes, improving approach to pricing segmentation, market insights and added value service.

About the position

The Strategic Pricing Manager will support the continuous development of the strategic pricing capability across business units and sales channels and be responsible for achieving the annual margin targets. You will be in charge of multiple pricing optimization initiatives and make sure that targeted margins are achieved. Pricing is becoming more and more mature in this company and you will be a part of it. This team is not only advising about pricing, they also have the authority to set the price. Therefore it is important to collaborate with key internal stakeholders to maximize the profitability and anticipate well on market changes.

Since it is a relative new international team, they expect you to help develop the team to the next level of professionalism. You are both analytical and pragmatic, a team player and you have a hands-on mentality. Working independently under pressure gives you energy: you are able to make decisions and are not afraid to make mistakes. A perfect consulting exit for a commercial and curious mastermind or a pricing specialist that gets the business aligned, keeps multiple balls in the air and is eager to develop him/herself and the team.

Main criteria

  • You have a minimum of six years of related work experience topics such as Pricing Management, Revenue Management, Strategy, Commercial Management or Trading and Business Development.
  • You have a Master's degree in a related field.
  • Ability to reach to a decision with a less than perfect fact base, relying on pragmatism combined with logical reasoning.
  • Ability to move seamlessly back and forth between planning and execution. You get the business aligned and balance complex analytics with pragmatism, simplicity and taking people along.
  •  Knowledge of costing models in a manufacturing environment.
  • You are a teamplayer, problem solver, influencer and thought leader.
  • Fluency in English is a must
