As a result, our client is looking for an ambitious manager who can streamline, professionalize and make the supply chain of this business segment future ready.

About the function

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for 5 regional supply planners based in the Netherlands. Your focus will be balancing the short term and long term plans and inventory optimization of all business lines within engineered materials. The scope of this position will be EMEA. This business unit develops sustainable fabrics for cars and electronical consumer goods. For example, for the production of high-quality batteries for the latest generation electric cars, driven by the energy transition. Our client is growing rapidly within this business segment. This growth naturally brings interesting challenges for the supply chain. Moreover, there are currently various matters within the supply chain domain due to global (raw) material shortages.

With your proven leadership skills within the planning domain you feel comfortable liaising with various stakeholders to optimize, coordinate and align supply, demand and inventory for all the business lines. You help to operationalize the EMEA business strategy as it relates to demand, supply and inventory. You guide the team in balancing the supply and demand for the business requirements by submitting a monthly supply plan (up to 24 months). In addition, you will be involved with harmonizing and standardizing the planning processes. You easily identify chances and improvements and know how to leverage and implement best practices within the team and within the global planning area. Last but not least: to make the supply chain organization future-proof, a digital transformation is planned. Therefore, it is important that you are data-driven and IT-savvy.

Main criteria

  • You have a Master’s degree (preferably supply chain management or related).
  • Extensive experience with supply chain, supply and demand planning (at least 10 years).
  • You have proven leadership skills within the planning domain.
  • APICS certification.
  • Strong in managing a team within an international context and able to work in a matrix organization.
  • Knowledge about ERP concepts (demand, supply, MRP) and planning optimization tools.
  • Analytical, result driven and can communicate at all levels (including leadership levels).
  • Strong presentation skills to be able to present in key meetings and the S&OP process.
  • Can create structure and maintain an overview.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).
