Our client has multiple commercial strategy teams, across the organization. This international team, located in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany ensures continuous optimization and commercial leaders are supported in solving challenging business problems. Think of topics such as value-based pricing, consumer and retail pricing, big deal pricing and negotiations, science in the field of commercial excellence and associated analytics, technology and innovation.

About the position

The Senior Associate Commercial Excellence will support the continuous development of the strategic pricing capability across the company. In this role you will deliver complex pricing optimization projects in a practical manner. You are part of the global knowledge center of strategic topics and support and advice all commercial leaders.

You will support the deployment of strategic pricing capabilities for the various business groups, in line with their strategies, market dynamics and needs. You play a central role in the deployment of pricing as an end-to-end process, from strategic considerations, to actual price setting techniques, governance and supporting technology. You also ensure new thought leadership and capabilities to be introduced and generate hypotheses for profit improvement opportunities. You contribute to cross functional teams with solid and measurable analysis, implementing strategic roadmaps, handle key engagement interviews and research and facilitate workshops while advising and earning the title of trusted advisor. Location: Amsterdam.

Most important qualifications
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience and a trackrecord in external strategy consultancy. Topics such as Pricing Management, Revenue Management, Strategy, Commercial Management, or Trading and Business Development.
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • You have experience in problem solving using advanced analytics (e.g. in Excel)
  • Experience with analysis software experience using tools like Alteryx, Tableau and Power BI and basic experience with programming applications like Python and R is preferred
  • Ability to move seamlessly back and forth between planning and execution. You get the business aligned and balance complex analytics with pragmatism, simplicity and taking people along
  • A track record in food ingredients or commodity environments is preferred
  • Fluency of English is a must
The procedure

After an interview with Badenoch + Clark 3 interviews with our client will follow. A business case / assessment will be part of the procedure.
