As the Global Director Strategic Pricing you are responsible for the team that spots opportunities for growth and improvement and lead projects from the drawing board to concrete results. Report directly to the Managing Director and be part of the leadership team.

About the client

Our client, a successful global player in the agrifood industry, is committed to safe, responsible and sustainable ways to nourish the world. They anticipate trends in taste, nutrition and safety to innovate and provide solutions to manufacturers, retailers and food service companies. Our client has multiple strategic teams, across the organization. Due to growth within one of the 4 branches, they are building a new strategic pricing team for this specific domain.

Today, this team consists out of 5 FTE, one strategic pricing manager and four analysts across the globe. Part of your assignment is to expand this team. Topics will be amongst others value-based pricing, consumer and retail pricing, big deal pricing and negotiations, science in the field of commercial excellence and associated analytics, technology and innovation.

About the function

As a Strategic Pricing Director, you will lead the development and execution of the strategic pricing processes across all sales channels. In this role, you will implement and optimize the business approach, processes and pricing executions and make sure to get the alignment among internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you will be in charge of multiple pricing optimization projects and that targeted margins are achieved.

You are both analytical and pragmatic and have excellent problem solving skills. You have the leadership skills to make it work within a big multinational. Working independently under pressure gives you energy: you can make decisions and are not afraid to make mistakes. This company’s market position is stable so you are encouraged to make bold and creative moves. You will be part of the global leadership team for this branch of the company.

Great next step for someone who has a track record within consultancy and currently works within a commercial strategy team or corporate strategy team who is seeking for the next step in his or her career.

Main criteria

  • You have at least 8 years of total experience within a renowned consultancy firm and within the industry (think of a pricing team/center of excellence, a commercial excellence team or a corporate strategy team).
  • You have a master's degree.
  • You are a specialist in commercial strategy and/or pricing.
  • You have experience in leading or transforming a business unit pricing across domestic or global markets.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience.

The procedure

After an interview at Badenoch + Clark, three or four interviews will follow at the client’s office. An assessment and business case are part of the procedure.
