RD Brussels, company created in 2020, will launch new open-top bus sightseeing tour early 2021 in the Belgium capital. This subsidiary is currently recruiting the management team to start the business. Operating up to 10 vehicles daily in the peak season, 365 days per year, RD Belgium will employs up to 35 staff in the summer months.

Function information

Badenoch + Clark is looking for a 'Operations Manager' with experience in the 'Bus' industry and having the 'capacity certificate for transportation of passengers'.

You will be part of a newly created company RATP Dev in Brussels.


Reporting to the Managing Director of the subsidiary, the Operations Manager is responsible for the operation of the network and maintenance of the fleet in the short, medium and long term. She / He is responsible for the safety, operating performance and maintenance of infrastructure and rolling stock.


  • According to the commercial policy, implement the transport offer and the operating policy (frequency of buses, timing…)
  • Monitor and analyze the results of the activity using performance indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations (adaptation of instructions and operating procedures) and implement the H&S policy.
  • Define and manage the maintenance plan
  • Supervise preventive, corrective and curative maintenance
  • Monitor and control the regulatory compliance of vehicle use (technical control, insurance, license, rest period, ...)
  • Team management (between 10 and 25 – depending of seasonality) including recruitment, training and disciplinary issues
  • Optimize the scheduling and payroll through the appropriate tool and update it on a day to day base.


Experience & competences!

Having a CPC certificate is a MUST!

Experience of 3 to 5 years in a similar position.

A previous experience in bus industry is necessary.

French / Dutch and English speaking required.

Knowledge of Transport Capacity of passengers is required.

Good relationship & management skills.

Team spirit.

Hands-on mentality.
