The client is based in the heart of Leicester with forward thinking individuals looking to enhance, streamline and improve on processes.

The organisation is currently preparing budgets on a rolling incremental basis. However they are looking to improve this process by taking the base budget in the previous year and amending this for investments and corporate changes in the following year.

They are looking to implement a budgeting process based on Zero Based Budgeting (ZBB) which will be a massive change to the way they plan their finances.

The Role:
*Create a methodology for ZBB for the organisation and provide options to understand its financial base position.
*Understand the organisation and create a base line budget based upon ZBB and the rationale for the numbers.
*Communicate this approach and its finding to respective senior stakeholders in the organisation.
*Implement the baseline budget to the organisation by way of income and expenditure.
*Provide a framework for ZBB to incorporate investment and disinvestment in the organisation.
*To provide recommendations on the maintenance of ZBB for a five year projection.
*To also provide workshop for finance colleagues to understand ZBB and for them to champion this approach to their respective area.
*To work closely with the Chief Finance Officer and Senior Finance colleagues to implement and deliver ZBB and provide written documentation of the project to transfer the knowledge to the organisation.
*The solution will need to be affordable to maintain and develop and to ultimately save time;
*To complete the project by 1st February 2019.

Person Specification
*You must be a qualified accountant with previous experience in setting and implementing ZBB either in the public or private sector.
*To lead the implementation of ZBB.
*Advanced written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate clearly to all levels of the organisation.
*Ability to think strategically with analytical capabilities and the ability to provide solutions.
