Are you a Senior Communications Officer with a desire to get involved with an improving and transforming company?

The client is a company based in the heart of Manchester and has an opportunity for a Senior Communications Officer to join their team and assist with the delivery or planned and reactive communications relating to shaping of their company.

The Role:
*Undertake proactive and reactive communications, media management and engagement activity implementing and delivering strategies and plans, taking a lead on all internal communications activities.
*Ensure communications support meets its core objectives, including the management and enhancement of the organisation's reputation.
*Provide professional and effective media relations services for the company including organising and managing media events when required, responding to enquiries and providing appropriate responses including news releases as required.
*You will need to advise colleagues and spokespeople as required on communications issues including:
oPromotional activity;
oResponse to media coverage;
oAppropriate communications content;
oReputational risks and challenges.
*Provide appropriate briefing material/support to colleagues as required.
*Support members and colleagues during media activity and/or stakeholder events such as interviews, press conferences, exhibitions and road shows as required.

*Educated to degree level of equivalent in relevant subject; the successful candidate will possess demonstrable experience within media relations, corporate communications, social media, stakeholder engagement, internal communications, events and e-communications
*You will be experienced in developing communications and media campaigns on behalf of complex organisations, alongside producing high quality content across multiple communication channels.
*A sound understanding of local government political frameworks and how to operate within them is desirable, albeit, you will be expected to demonstrate a proven track record of building productive working relationships with the media, partner organisations, external agencies and stakeholders within your previous roles.
