Badenoch & Clark are partnering exclusively with a local housing association to assist them in recruiting an Investment Manager on a permanent basis to work out of their offices located in Sunderland.

This is an exciting opportunity to join this organisation as they go through a period of sustained growth.

Job purpose

* Responsibility for the collection, management, interpretation and validation of stock surveying data in line with the Asset Management Delivery Plan, to inform the Group's long term asset strategy and business plan and maintain non-stock condition cost assumptions.

Core duties & accountabilities

*Taking account of the Organisation's Asset Management Strategy, the sustainability of the Organisation's stock, and the Organisation's Business Plan, contribute to the development of a detailed 3-5 year investment programme. This should include a suitable consultation process.

*Taking account of the long term maintenance needs of the Organisation's assets develop a programme in conjunction with the other departments in the business, to address the risk and long term maintenance needs of the stock including commissioning and managing specialist surveys

*Effective performance management of the team to ensure projects are prepared for timely delivery on site

*Work in collaboration with the Delivery Team and the Landlord Compliance Team

*Coordinate surveys to validate the requirements of the Asset Management Development Plan. Analysis of the AMDP surveys and structural surveys to identify issues and recommend remedial actions when required

*Produce comprehensive programmes of work identified by the AMDP, including development of the pre-construction health and safety plans identifying key areas for consideration by the delivery team pre-contract commencement.

*Take the lead for the delivery of pre-construction roles in line with CDM requirements

*Engage and manage specialist consultants to deliver in the required timeframes

*Undertake regular CPD (Continuing Personal Development)

Candidate requirements
*A recognised professional qualification in a property related discipline MRICS, CIOB, MICE or equal or considerable, relevant and demonstrable experience
*Trained in carrying out full stock condition surveys
*Demonstrable experience in the development and implementation of large scale housing investment programmes
*Previous experience of managing teams of staff and experience of successfully delivering a similar role within a diverse organisation
*Experience of managing and
*Demonstrable knowledge of building construction, building standards, planning regulations, regulatory standards, and leasehold legislation
*Commercial understanding of value for money drivers in construction
