Badenoch and Clark are currently working exclusively with a Social Housing provider in the Lancashire area to recruit an Internal Auditor to support the Head of Internal Audit & Risk Assurance with their responsibilities in developing and delivering the annual internal audit plan, by reporting on the adequacy and effectiveness of the governance, risk, and internal control framework for the Group as appropriate.

To maintain an in-depth understanding of the legislative and regulatory requirements of the Group.
To assist the Head of Internal Audit and Risk Assurance in developing and delivering the programme of compliance audits as per the annual internal audit plan.
To recommend any process improvements that could assist in the mitigation of risk and enhance internal control adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency.
To prepare and present documents and reports as may be required for the Group's Audit Committee.
To use and implement up to date audit techniques, including interrogating/analysing information in IT systems, to test the design and operation of controls, to enable the reporting of evidence based findings to management following completion of audits.
To work alongside employees up to Director level, explaining the scope, findings, recommendations, suggested solutions, together with implementation timescales and responsibilities.
To adhere to all aspects of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (CIIA) International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) and apply the standards/code of ethics to all areas of work.
To work alongside the Group's Insurance Officer to identify and advise on risk reduction strategies for insurances.

The ideal candidate:
Would be actively studying, or hold a full recognised Audit AND/OR Finance Qualification.
Have worked in an internal audit role for a minimum of 2 years.
Have evidence of presenting reports up to Board level.
Have extensive knowledge of up to date audit techniques.
