Badenoch and Clark is currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in the West Yorkshire Region. Our client is looking for an Information Governance Manager to join their Legal Services Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage the electronic records management systems and develop and support high quality records management practices throughout the organisation. You will regularly support the Data Protection Officer to implement and develop high quality practices to facilitate being compliant in line with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the General Data Protection Act 2018.

Overview of Responsibilities

* Assist with managing a new CRM system through stakeholder engagement, quality configuration, timely, effective training and clear communication.
* Contribute to the development and review of existing information and records management policies and procedures.
* Assist with the development and maintenance of record retention schedules to meet with legal, financial and local requirements.
* Assist the DPO in being responsible for all Data Protection including making official responses when required and keeping under review the organisations publication scheme.
* Monitor external legal and good practice developments in Freedom of Information and Data Protection legislation and advising on the incorporation of these into the organisation's policies and practices.
* Provide advice and regular training to employees on records management, Data Protection and compliance issues.
* Maintain a data privacy register for the organisation.

The successful candidate will:

* Proven track record of working in Information Governance within a large scale organisation.
* Knowledge and understanding of the processes and issues surrounding electronic records management.
* A broad knowledge and understanding of all aspects of UK information legislation and of contemporary issues in information legislation policy.
* Public Sector or Social Housing experience.
* Educated to a degree standard or equivalent.
* Excellent IT skills.
