We have an opportunity for a Commercial/Procurement Lawyer in a Central Government Department.
They are looking for an experienced Lawyer to assist in what will be a busy and varied commercial/procurement case load.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Working in procurement law, for example framework agreements and contracts.
Successful management of complex high value cases.
Ability to deal with complex public law cases.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Provide legal and policy advice to clients.
Responsibility of procurement law cases.
Takes responsibility for own work with substantial degree of autonomy but knowing when to consult and to delegate.
Displays an understanding of the resourcing requirements of own cases.
Displays an understanding of the context the client operates in.
Displays the professional attitude that client and company expect from a member of an organisation with a high reputation.
Responds to reasonable client requests including agreeing achievable and realistic actions, timescales etc.
Keeps abreast of legal developments and current thinking on related policy issues.

Litigation: working as part of a team on high value contract disputes.
