Badenoch and Clark are currently working in partnership with one of our key clients in the West Yorkshire Region. Our client is looking for a Business Assurance Manager to join their organisation.

The role reports directly to the Head of Transformation and Business Assurance. The post holder will support the Head of Service with the strategic, operational and financial management of the business. The post holder will also work as a change agent with colleagues across the organisation and with partners in line with the organisations core behaviours and values. They will support the Senior Leadership Team to deliver the organisation's purpose, vision and objectives, ensuring positive outcomes for the business and the organisations customers.

A key component of the role will be to develop a culture of high performance within teams and continuous improvement in line with the organisations service plans, Medium Term Financial Plan and the joint Delivery Plan.

As a proactive Business Assurance Manager the post holder will support the Head of Service in delivering key functional responsibilities including governance, safeguarding and equalities, data protection, risk management and business continuity.

Responsibilities and duties:
*The provision financial support in terms of rent to internal partners, government regulators and local authorities.
*Working with the Head of Service develop the risk framework used across the company and ensure that best practice in risk management is embedded across the organisation.
*Develop, maintain, review and prepare/deliver reports in relation to strategic and operational risk registers and manage the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures in relation to risk.
*Assist the Head of Service in the development and monitoring of the annual internal audit plan in line with risk registers, in consultation with appropriate managers and ensuring that all agreed recommendations are implemented and reported to the Risk and Audit Committee.
*Ensure that KNH has a robust, tested, business continuity plan to address a range of business continuity scenarios and that staff are appropriately trained.
*Work with council colleagues on the testing and roll out of the Kirklees wide emergency plan.
*Keep abreast of statutory, political, regulatory and economic trends in the environment, best practice in the sector.
*Ensure sound governance practices are embedded across the company and that KNH's Board and Committees are effectively serviced and supported.
*Work with the Head of Service to ensure KNH is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations.
*To provide leadership and oversight of the company's safeguarding activities and ensure that the company's policies and procedures are adhered to ensure the safety of the company's customers.
*To advance, diversity, inclusion and equality across KNH's operations and in particular ensure policies and procedures meet and where possible exceed our equality duty and legal requirements.
*Work towards the achievement of equality accreditations for example the ENEI framework.
*Work collaboratively with other Managers to monitor, analyse and deliver improvements across all relevant performance indicator areas in order to increase customer satisfaction.
*Prepare detailed, clearly written reports on key issues. When required present verbal reports to the Senior Leadership Team and/or Board.
*To participate in organisation wide service reviews and service planning policy acting as a lead sponsor as required and ensuring reviews are delivered through to conclusion and any arising recommendations are implemented as appropriate.
*Providing vision and leadership to the team by managing people, performance, development, health and well being issues and resources effectively and in line with relevant policies and procedures.
*Builds a culture to expect change as a part of doing business successfully and actively assists others to adapt and cope.
*Contribute to the development of policies and processes across the organisation to ensure that high quality consistent services are delivered.
*To provide leadership and direction to the organisation by acting as an ambassador and positive role model through the promotion of KNH purpose, vision, behaviours, achievements and successes.
*Deputise for the Head of Service as required.

The successful candidate will have:
*Proven track record of managing business assurance and or corporate compliance within a large organisation.
*Ability to inspire, motivate and guide team members and stakeholders.
*Ability to demonstrate the ability to prepare and embed business continuity plans.
*Able to demonstrate a proven track record in governance.
*Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to interact effectively.
*A track record of delivering targets and goals within operational plans.
*Skill and ability to work with partner organisation to achieve common goals.
*Previous experience of data input and maintenance of databases and/or Contact Management Systems.
*Literacy and numeracy to a standard required to maintain accurate records and a good level of computer literacy to interrogate various software packages.
*Knowledge of Health & Safety, Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, Data Protection.
*Able to work flexibly and be responsive to change in order to improve performance
*Good team working skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team coupled with the ability to work on one's own to achieve results.
*Proven experience and ability to understand the importance of budgetary control and proactively manage budgets.
