Badenoch + Clark is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join a top-notch engineering and construction material producer.
This position is the opportunity for you to be part of The Group Legal & Compliance department of a major international company, based in Ghent. You will be the legal business business partner to the Belgian and Dutch legal entities in their business activities and provide advice and guidance on a wide variety of legal matters.
Function information
- Primarily acting as trusted senior legal advisor in Belgium & the Netherlands. Proactively providing sound and pragmatic counseling, at the same time minimizing and mitigating legal risks;
- Advising on a wide variety of commercial and corporate matters, such as corporate law, M&A, environmental and energy law, financial law, contract law, IP law, project finance, alternative structuring, public private partnerships...;
- Delivering training to the business teams on a variety of legal and compliance related matters;
- Actively participating and supporting international legal initiatives. Regularly sharing best practices, new challenges or developments, innovations and efficiency related projects.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Belgian Law;
- At least 6 years of work experience on a wide-range of legal matters in the area of, partnerships and JVs, investment, commercial and corporate law, environmental and energy law, with a particular focus on setting up complex projects and transactions;
- Experience in an international law firm / international company;
- Fluent in Dutch and English and a good understanding of French.
