This originally Dutch family owned business is looking for a Global Commercial Strategist for their Data Driven Growth team. Great consulting exit for someone who likes to work on cutting edge of commercial strategy and data and wants to make impact within the energy transition.

About the client

SHV Energy is a Dutch family-owned multinational that grew to a global distributer of off-grid energy such as LPG and LNG and is active in the area of sustainable fuels and renewable energy solutions. Mission: to provide decentralized, low-carbon and clean energy solutions to 30 million clients and customers. SHV encourages and enables customers to switch from the polluting fuels to LPG and LNG, which results in a significant reduction in carbon dioxide.

The Global Growth team of this company is located in the center of Amsterdam and is responsible for the collaboration with the global business units to maximize and realize the commercial potential, using data driven insights and best-practices.

About the function

As a commercial strategist, you support the Global Commercial Excellence Lead to realize the commercial potential. Important themes are e.g. retention of currents clients and what should be the commercial strategy for the multiple business units worldwide? So for example, the team currently focus on how to accelerate the growth in US, while simultaneous increase the potential in Italy, Germany and Spain.

You are excellent in stakeholder management and have a perfect sense when to push and when to pull the internal stakeholders.

You analyze organizational client data and the market and are able to translate these insights into strategic initiatives. Therefore you support the units in executing these strategic initiates and ensures that these changes are being adopted effectively. Furthermore, you collect internal and external with the objective to explore and identify opportunities to maximize the commercial potential. The team is stationed in the center of Amsterdam. However, you have an international role so therefore you will visit the business units globally. These will be mainly in Europe but also in the VS and Asia.

Main criteria

● You have approximately 3 years of strategy consulting experience within a renowned consulting firm such as Big4.

● You have a Master’s degree.

● You are an experienced Excel user (knowledge of Phyton or R is preferred).

● You are able to convert insights from data analysis in actionable strategic initiatives and tactics.

● Not only task driven, but willing to take ownership.

● Strong communication and presentation skills.
