Barco Fredrikstad AS is a company located in Fredrikstad, Norway, that designs and develops advanced, compact high-performance projectors for demanding applications within niche markets like training and simulation, virtual and augmented reality, visitor attractions, events, and high-end residential. Barco Fredrikstad is part of the more than one billion-euro Barco Group headquartered in Belgium, and houses the second largest R&D facility in Barco, with its own service and support center, and is recognized as a Center of Excellence in its field.

Our new Product Manager Simulation will be the end-to-end owner, expert and integrator of dedicated products throughout the full lifecycle. You will own the end-to-end product propositions, launches and product enablement, as well as be the expert of the product and the user. You will further define the winning product requirements - based on segment marketing needs, product/technical insights, market trends as well as customers feedback. Additionally the role will conduct market, customer and competitor research to gather product insights, supported by on-going visits to customers and end-users. 

The position is based in Fredrikstad - but will join a world-wide team of 11 employees. Post-covid the role will involve a fair bit of travel to our HQ in Belgium as well as world-wide, with particular focus on USA and EMEA.

Work tasks

  • Play an integrator role and collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as segment and product marketing, sales, engineering, manufacturing and product owners to define product requirements, customer needs and market opportunities
  • Analyze and report on product/technology trends along with both defining, document and communicate the roadmap and product strategy
  • Ensure effective product development progress
  • Lead the user experience of your product, in cooperation with our development team. 
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing on new product launches, and take the necessary decisions on feature prioritization with the best in class product launch management thinking across the Customer Journey


  • 5 years in product management and product lifecycle management
  • Strong technical skill set in or know-how of a similar industry or technology
  • Experience with product strategy
  • Experience working in a matrix organization
  • Experience working in a product-driven organization and working on the intersection of product and software
  • Set pricing: MSRP, DCP and minimum profitability
  • Ensure internal and partner enablement such as training, tools, and demos
