For a prestigious company, operating in the industrial production sector, we are looking for the following professional figure

Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager

Responsabilities

  • Develop and grow the Supply Chain team to guarantee the best level of services to the rest of the organization and ensure “ready successors” are in place
  • Coordinate, implement, and lead procurement activities on the Machining, Build to Spec, Raw material, castings and forgings and Composite commodities
  • Manage and is accountable for Supplier Delivery and Quality performance by driving improvement plans and using Supply Chain tools and process
  • Grow and sustain suppliers relationships
  • Ensure new programs are delivered on time at the right cost to the business from a bought item perspective
  • Ensure the right level of services and cost from external non-product suppliers to the sites (ie. Services, logistic providers….)
  • Is responsible for the achievement of the savings targets for Product and Non-product using the appropriate leverages
  • Generate and create the appropriate metrics/KPI’s and facilitate corrective actions plans as required to ensure the site performances
  • Manage purchasing projects, including developing and implementing standard work instructions
  • Negotiate annual and long term contracts/pricing with suppliers and ensure business compliance to all contractual requirements
  • Is working in alignment with central commodity leadership to establish long term agreement (LTA) contract management and develop and implement the Supply Chain strategies by commodities
  • Coordinate the escalations to the supplier development and delivery assurance teams
  • Is the main point of contact for Operation / production and program in the escalation process
Competences
  • Solid and structured experience in the same role in Aerospace or Aviation contexts
  • Engineering Management Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Continuous improvement experience required, lean principles and the full menu of materials processes skills, along with demonstrated project management skills
  • Understanding of business processes with a high degree of commercial acumen
  • Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally
  • Experience of leading change/improvement implementation programs with both Senior Management & operational teams
  • Ability to work away from home on a regular basis (up to 30% travel required for this position)
  • In-depth SAP and MS office experience, strong Analytical Skills, focus on results and detail oriented
  • Customer focused, Team player
  • Leadership and strong negotiation skills
  • English fluent
