Badenoch + Clark is delighted to recruit an S&OP Planning Manager for one of our clients based in Luxembourg.

The position of S&OP Planning Manager we are recruiting for is open in Luxembourg under a permanent contract (CDI F/M).

This is a great opportunity for the right individual to gain experience of an end to end planning process/complex supply chain of a successful global company.

Function information

Your Responsibilities

This is a role reporting to the EMEA S&OP Senior Director, and it is part of the Leadership team, leading the planning, managing, and mitigating variations between forecast and daily/weekly/monthly requirements in response to the demand for product.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Team leadership – managing a team of about 8 planners
  • S&OP planning – lead the S&OP process (supply and purchase planning) across multiple manufacturing sites compiling finished/semi-finished/raw production/deployment and materials plans to be signed off by the business
  • Responsible for requirements planning to distribution centers
  • Project management – lead Supply Chain projects for the business, taking accountability for action whilst also identifying any areas for continuous improvement or creation of efficiencies
  • Forecasting – compile and analyze customer forecasts, continually driving forecast improvements
  • Share responsibilities on customer service level
  • Drive the unit budget process and establish final good inventory budget for multiple business units of the company
  • Frequent travels to plants as well as suppliers and customers will be required


Your profile

  • University degree in a relevant field (Supply chain management, Business management…)
  • 5 years demonstrable experience in a supply chain planning function within a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in team management
  • Fluency in English
  • Open to travel
  • Previous ERP/MRP experience preferably using SAP
  • Successful track record in persuading, informing and influencing stakeholders based on plans and findings.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and summarize complex data to present to the business.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, tools and techniques
  • Ability to operate under minimal supervision and once given general assignments, prioritizes and executes tasks
