Our client is a leading alternative investment fund manager. Their investments include private equity, real estate, hedge fund and credit vehicles.

Function information

Your Responsibilities

Fund NAV Oversight

  • Review of the quarterly NAV, capital account statements and financial statements of the AIFs
  • Review constitutive documents of the AIFs to prepare risk analysis on operations, valuation and finance
  • Review of the annual AIFMD, BCL reports as it relates to finance matters
  • Participate in the annual review of operating protocols with third parties such as Central Administration
  • Maintain and review KPIs reports from the Central Administration and Depositary Banks
  • Participate in the annual due diligence of the Central Administration and Depositary Banks
  • Review the quarterly Fund administration accruals to ensure it is in line with agreements

Financial Accounting and Tax

Participates as required in the following:

  • the preparation of budgets, forecasts and other ad hoc finance analysis at AIFs level
  • the preparation of other management financial analysis and any other information as required by key stakeholders
  • the monthly financial close for Luxembourg managed entities (SPV or GP): review of trial balance trends, review of statutory accounts
  • the coordination of the preparation of the Luxembourg direct and indirect tax returns at AIFs or GPs level


  • Assist the team in the quarterly or monthly valuation process of assets under management: review proposed valuation for a broad spectrum of assets, discuss with valuation teams, and prepare valuation memos
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation to the Management Committee, the Board of Managers and the Board of the GPs with regards to the valuation of assets
  • Assist in the due diligence of valuation teams and third-party valuation advisors


Your Profile

  • University Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance
  • Prior experience in a similar position, preferably in a Big 4 as an auditor (in alternative funds) of 3 to 5 years
  • Strong technical skills in accounting required and valuation preferred
  • In depth knowledge of Lux GAAP required and US GAAP is considered an asset
  • Exposure to credit funds, private equity or real estate is considered an asset
  • Very strong communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral
  • Highly organised, goal oriented, and solutions focused
  • Great attention to details and accountability for delivery
  • Ability to act autonomously when appropriate and know when to escalate matters
  • Proactive and able to suggest new efficient solutions
