As Business Development Manager you will be accountable for managing an existing portfolio of clients and prospect potential new accounts. With internal support and training you will set up an actionable plan, working towards achieving goals and defined targets whilst overseeing your own schedule and agenda. The initial focus will be the DACH region with the potential to expand the scope for the right candidate.

  • Farming as well as hunting across the DACH region
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers
  • Identify business opportunities and perform market research to create business leads and identify potential accounts
  • Generate new customer and partner relationships to ensure new business and opportunities are identified
  • Drive negotiations and close deals
  • Develop efficient and effective relationships at all levels (external and internal)
  • Provide an overview of the current funnel and progress when requested
  • Work closely with the Account Management team
  • Provide support and advise on technical issues and solutions as needed
  • Support internal and external training

Candidate Profile:

  • University degree in engineering, chemistry, or similar
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, managing a portfolio of client accounts
  • Proven experience in both hunting and farming
  • A dynamic personality with a can-do attitude
  • Strong communication & negotiation skills
  • Willing and able to travel
  • Languages: English plus near native German, and other European Languages are considered a strong advantage
