We are excited to announce a Solutions Architect position that has recently become available in the Southend region. Working as part of an innovative and very clever team within a Digital Services team who are committed to providing a range of integration, applications and databases whilst supporting key business. With support from within the Development and Innovation team, the post holder will be responsible for driving innovation through engagement with the clinical and operational services.
The Solutions and Innovation Architect will also actively contribute, and lead on technical aspects, to the overall Informatics strategy and policy development, efficiency and effectiveness of the Informatics Department as a whole. They will have an excellent understanding of IT trends and current technologies.
Duties - Solutions Architect
Design a set of technical architecture principles and polices that align with organisation Architecture principles and ensure they are applied across all digital and technical projects/programmes.
To be involved in the design, development and on-going provision of an effective and responsive interoperability architecture service to support operational and strategic requirements of the group.
Design, develop and oversee the on-going provision of web and mobile solutions to support operational and strategic requirements.
Analyse requirements in detail, with input from colleagues as well as from the key stakeholders and users, both functional and non-functional, and carry out options appraisals, to identify the most appropriate technical solutions.
Use appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces, to contribute to the development of programme requirements and to develop highly complex architectures.
Identify and agree priorities for technology implementation & upgrades and ensure the solutions.
To assist in the development of necessary documents to start projects up such as Business Cases, Project Initiation Document, detailed Specifications etc.
Understand and apply relevant technical architecture strategies, policies, standards and practices.
Demonstrable experience of delivering large scale technical informatics programmes
Significant experience leading IT enabled change within a large organisation
Extensive experience, working at a senior level
Previous senior management experience responsible for service development and planning
Experience of inter agency working and the development of collaborative and effective partnerships in the planning and
delivery of services
Demonstrable success in building, leading, motivating, managing and developing teams
Ability to influence at all levels and a highly strategic thinker
Experience of acute Trust clinical information systems and processes
Experience of public engagement/patient involvement activities including presenting to large groups
Experience of Microsoft Stack - preferably .NET, AZURE, MVC
