Badenoch + Clark have been engaged to source a Clerk of Works for a leading Social Housing provider in the North West of England.

The suitable candidate will be a confident communicator, be methodical in their approach to work which has been proven by experience working within Social Housing with technical, hands on experience with Planned and Cyclical programmes of work in relation to Electrical upgrades and refurbishments.

You should have worked in a suitable technical role previously to do well in this position, using your technical expertise you will monitor and ensure that each project runs smoothly with the desired outcome.

The key duties are as follows:

Day to day

*Working with a variety of tasks and prioritising your own workload

*Providing excellent customer service to the Social Housing customer base

*Attend pre start and progress site meetings for all Programmes of work

*Carrying out periodic inspections and utilising Electronic Certification Software and providing timely reports on these

*Identifying any problems on site and using technical knowledge to recommend corrective solutions

*Carrying out snagging inspections prior to handover

*Monitor quality control throughout projects

*Reporting issues appropriately in line with CDM Regulations and HSE guidelines

*Working with Project Managers to ensure issues are dealt with correctly

Contractor and Operative Management

*Building effective relationships with Contractors on site to ensure open communication and an efficient working practice

*Verification of qualifications of all Operatives and Contractors as well as ensure that all new and existing team members are working in line with CDM and HSE and as per the compliance standards set out by the compliance team

*Coaching, inductions and regular meetings with teams to ensure the above

Qualifications

*HNC or HND in recognised building relating study

*Electrical Installation qualification

*Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations qualification

*NEBOSH or IOSH desirable but not essential

*Full UK Licence and own vehicle for business use
