Our client One Housing is a G15 housing association with 16,000 homes across London and surrounding counties. We are looking for a self-aware, resourceful and inspiring leader. You will have a proven experience of setting asset management strategy, managing and supporting landlord compliance and a strong understanding of buildings and specifically maintenance.

The successful candidate for this opportunity will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Experience commercial management within a housing provider or contractor environment.

Proven ability to plan and manage the workload of a client / contractor service delivering all reactive maintenance and specialist service contracts.

Able to demonstrate a clear commitment to customer focus.

Knowledge of building and health & safety legislation.

Contract knowledge, negotiation and OJEU procurement experience.

Experience of working with systems to create and manage multi-million-pound budgets.

Key decisions the post would be responsible for are:

Managing the Asset Management Team to ensure One Housing's stock is updated surveyed regularly and the data is fit for purpose to enable suitable analytics for future modelling and that all works are programmed in a timely fashion for delivery.

Implementing delivering and updating the asset management strategy.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulation, particularly that which relates to asset management and health and safety and including Regulation of Social Housing and NHF Codes of Practice.

Ensuring the Asset Management Team develop clear budgets and programmes for delivery and or procurement.

Responsibility for the fire risk assessments of the group and ensuring the team are fit for purpose.

Ensuring that, for every new property taken on (either internally or externally), the development handover is followed, complete and correct.
