Data Insight Manager

Location: Central London

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Up to £63K + Benefits

Badenoch + Clark Housing Team are proud to be partnering with a South London RP who work very closely with the local Council and who are investing in a new transformation team. Due to this expansion they are recruiting for a Data Insights Manager join the team.

This role will involve the development and provision of performance management information to the Executive and Leadership Teams, Board and business leads to improve performance and aid decision making.

Previous exposure to working within a Housing Association will be essential for this position.

*Foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration, transparency, continuous improvement and customer focus,

*Support transformation, change, and continuous improvement, by developing a sustainable corporate Data Standards & Insight capability.

*Establish a data governance framework partnering with the business to secure, manage and care for data as sensitive and valuable business assets.

*Establish a rolling data maturity programme, establishing key roles and responsibilities (owners, stewards, etc.) along with the systematic adoption of data standards (e.g. HACT).

*Take ownership of driving effective data quality governance and provide assurance that all data / information provided to internal and external parties including regulators and auditors for area of accountability is provided in a secure manner and meets the data quality standards (i.e. accurate, complete, timely, etc.).

*Drive data cleansing / data migration activities for move from legacy applications to new products. Work with technology colleagues on acquiring and implementing appropriate tooling for data management and remediation e.g. cleansing, migration, integrity.

*Create and evolve the data quality reports and prioritise the data domains with business owners to remediate data issues to provide trusted data to enable business teams to extract value from the data / information assets.

*Work with the DPO to ensure handling of data is in line with policy, regulation and legislation e.g. data protection, classification, retention and ethics.

*Lead statutory and regulatory reporting and submissions.

*Own and drive a modernised corporate performance framework that enables timely and accurate decisions, monitoring and management of performance in a highly visual manner, diagnosis of performance issues, prediction of outcomes, and enables plans to automate decisions, when appropriate to do so.

*Work with business owners / power users to shape and prioritise user stories, and gain approval via the relevant forums, for the team to then deliver against in an agile/flow-based model.

*Work collaboratively with the technology colleagues and council partners to set the direction, acquire and deploy a strategic data platform and end-user tools with a drive towards self-service.

*Own the creation of training and guides for users relating to data assets standards and self-serving of insights.

*Own and lead all internal and external measurement and benchmarking (e.g. CSAT, employee engagement, VFM and performance benchmarking).

*Foster multi-agency data collaboration with sector and council partners to improve decisions and outcomes.

*Work with technology colleagues to develop the longer-term strategy for AI / ML in a roadmap aligned to business priorities.

*Lead, coach and manage a team of Analysts to contribute to the overall goals of the Data function and the Business Improvement Team.

Essential Qualifications and criteria for the role:

*Lean Qualification

*Exposure to Power BI and advance level of excel

*Agile Qualification

*Experience within the Housing or Not for Profit sector is desirable (particularly in Housing or Construction industry)

*Proven and applied knowledge and understanding of a highly regulated environment

*Be an excellent communicator with sound presentation skills and the ability to

*Exposure to high level data analysis within a multi-stakeholder environment.

*Modern, nimble flow-based change model implementation.

*Experience of leadership in public service provider setting.

*Successfully translating strategy into delivery through plans and resources.
