Badenoch & Clark are working in partnership with Leeds Federated Housing on a new position for a Operations Manager for a newly created in house contractor.

Operations Manager (Property Maintenance)

£60,000 + £5,000 car

About the role

We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an Operations Manager to join us.

Reporting directly to the board and taking responsibility for our newly formed In-House

Contractor, you'll be tasked with running this as a sustainable commercial enterprise,

ensuring the successful provision of planned works and that all associated costs are

reflected. You'll be responsible for an initial annual budget of £1.6m per annum and

leading a team of 18 members of staff.

You'll also:

● Ensure the effective preparation, production and issuing of the monthly KPI report

● Take ownership of the budget including undertaking financial reporting, ensuring

the effective management and control of the forecasted budget

● Prepare, produce, issue, implement and manage the Annual Service and Annual

Maintenance Plans

● Prepare, implement and manage life cycle works programmes

● Deal with general people management including training, development,

mentoring, coaching and monthly reviews

What we are looking for:

● Degree / HNC / HNC level qualification or equivalent

● Proven operational management experience within reactive or planned

maintenance

● Commercial and contractual awareness with proven experience of managing

budgets

● The ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and with prompt turnaround

times

● The ability to produce clear, well-structured reports to aid effective decision

making

● IOSH or SMST or a willingness to work towards this

● Full UK driving licence

● Experience of social housing would be advantageous but is not essential

Salary

● £60,000 plus £5,000 car allowance

About us:

The In-House Contractor is a newly formed commercial arm of Leeds Federated Housing.

Leeds Federated Housing have around 4,300 homes across West and North Yorkshire

and the IHC Contractor will provide a commercial service to enable them to provide good

quality housing that their customers regard as offering great value.
