Non Executive Board Member - One Housing Group

One Housing is one of the largest providers of social housing in England. We operate in London and the South East and manage around 17,000 homes across 27 boroughs. Over 35,000 customers call a One Housing place their home. We are also a major provider of supported housing, specialising in affordable housing for our ageing population and other support services like mental health and reablement care.

The One Housing Group Board has ultimate responsibility for the governance of the organisation. The Board determines the Group's corporate direction and strategy, monitors performance

and directs and controls the organisation's affairs to ensure that the Group achieves its business objectives and delivers its charitable purpose. We are looking for someone with senior high-level finance experience to join us on our journey in delivering our vision - we create places for people to call home and support them to live well.

Non-executive board members are expected to act as a member of up to two of the Board's committees, with the potential to act as a Committee Chair. For this particular role we are looking for someone with:

*A strong empathy with and commitment to One Housing Group's social purpose

*Senior high-level finance experience, ideally an individual with housing association sector experience at a senior level in a large provider;

*Extensive experience of long-term financial planning, risk and stress testing;

*Strong understanding of housing association treasury matters, including options and investor relations

*Demonstrable experience of development, particularly JV and partnership arrangements

*Ideally, experience of social or affordable housing and the provision of landlord services

*A strong commitment to diversity

The remuneration annually is £12,000 for a non-executive board member (£15k for Committee Chairs) and legitimate expenses incurred whilst undertaking duties as a Board member will be reimbursed .
