Accounts Assistant

Location: London for training (approx. 2 days) then remote working

Contract: Interim possibility to go permanent

Salary: Equivalent of 20K


Badenoch + Clark Housing Team are proud to be partnering with a housing association based in London to appoint an accounts assistant within the income accounting team. Our client is one of the leading providers in supplying communities with affordable housing across London.

The Role

*Managing and collating housing benefit payments for individual tenancies

*Identifying any discrepancies in payments

*Collating payment information for the entire tenancy portfolio

*Submitting relevant documentation to the appropriate authorities

*Investigating and resolving any stopped payments.

*Liaise with our internal customers to identify and post suspense items

*Load and post housing benefit schedules to ensure customer accounts are up to date in the housing management system (northgate)

*Dealing with customer enquiries by phone, email and letter

Skills & Knowledge

*Experience of working for a Housing Association essential

*Experience of using Northgate housing management system

*Ideally studying for a finance qualification ACCA, CIMA or AAT

*Good numeracy skills

*Experience of working in an accounts receivables team

*Strong customer services skills

*Good IT skills

*Experience of using Oracle financials or a similar finance package

*Strong reconciliation skills and an eye for detail

If you have general ledger experience form within a Housing Association and exposure to Northgate system this could be an excellent opportunity to take on a new interim position.
