Senior ER Manager - Employee Relations

Based in Birmingham - west Midlands

Paying Up to £75k - Depending on experience

B+C HR are working with a leading private sector business that is looking for a Senior ER Manager to join their team based in Birmingham. You will be the lead in defining and delivering on the ER strategy plan. You will play a key role in implementing key people related initiatives across the business. This person will support the business by providing a proactive, effective and professional Employee Relations HR service. As the Senior ER Manager, you will lead a small team and be the main escalation point for all senior ER complex cases.

What you will be doing?

*Lead and manage all employee relations activity across the business.

*Providing advice on employment law and company policies and procedures.

*Provide support and advice to managers on short and long term absence, including attending sickness absence reviews, welfare and capability review meetings.

*Leading a small team of ER Business Partners.

*Creation and execution of the ER strategy across the business.

*Monitoring, measuring and reporting on ER issues from a strategic perspective.

*Challenging and coaching managers where necessary.

*Advising and coaching senior managers and directors on the discipline and grievance process in accordance with company procedures including dismissal cases.

*Monitoring trends in relation to ER issues and taking action..

*Support Senior ER Managers to deliver HR Projects as and when required including Restructures, Performance Management, TUPE, Training needs analysis, design and delivery of training materials.

What we are looking for?

*CIPD qualified or relevant HR and employee relations.

*Hard working passionate professional with the ability to work effectively under a fast paced pressured environment.

*Experience in managing complex ER cases.

*Sound understanding of employment law.

*Possess extensive experience as a Senior ER Specialist or similar role with a strong ER emphasis gained within a multi-site organisation.

*Demonstrable experience of dealing with an array of complex ER issues.

*Experienced in managing a small team.
