One of Badenoch and Clark's key client's is looking to recruit a Network Engineer to assist with the technical migration of 100 x Gloucestershire GP Surgeries from existing BTN3 WAN network to BT HSCN WAN Solution.

Responsibilities include:

o Audit, Technical Planning (site readiness), Supplier Engagement, Technical Migration and UAT of circa 100 GP surgeries, including branches, from BTN3 network to the new BT provided HSCN network in 'live' primary care environment.

 Understand and translate BT High Level Design for HSCN into technical activities for site readiness.

 Audit GP surgeries networks, identify design dependencies, risks and plan solution to mitigate with supplier/project team.

 Identify UAT requirements with the project team and GP practices.

 Plan and implement IP address allocation for BT HSCN.

 Assist with GP Surgery IP migration to new IP range if required.

 Audit and identify BT hardware requirements (environmental/power) and plan solution in advance of installation.

 Provide support to GP surgeries and co-ordination of BT during circuits and routers installation plus commissioning of circuit.

 Plan, submit and obtain approval for RfC in advance of site migration.

 Provide on-site technical support during HSCN migration, resolution of network issues with site and supplier. Complete UAT and technical signoff.

 Configure, deliver and replace and test new Cisco 2960 series switches for GP surgeries.

 Attend weekly team progress meetings.

o Travelling to GP Surgeries required, typically approx. 40-50 mile radius.

o Most preparatory and 'disruptive' migration work can be performed Mon-Fri 8-6 however some will require Out of Hours working - typically after 6pm and weekends.

o Provide support for BAU operations when required.

o Provide support to the GP LAN/Comms Cabinet refresh project when required.

Good Cisco knowledge would be essential, working with Cisco layer 2 and 3 switches, plus Cisco routers. Good understanding of public sector is essential, working in healthcare setting and HSCN/BTN3 experience preferable.
