Procurement Assistant

Oxfordshire

£26,000 - £30,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a Procurement team working in an organisation at the forefront of scientific advances. This organisation was set up with the aim of translating fundamental scientific advances into a commercialised platform technology and a new generation of biomarkers for cancer and other diseases. The purpose of this role is to be actively involved in coordinating the laboratory inventory with a focus on laboratory service and support, and ensuring procurement, inventory, e-commerce, and regulatory compliance activities of the company. This means you would mainly be responsible for ordering, maintaining store and supplies to ensure that the company has necessary materials or equipment available for operations. Additional responsibilities include control, and review of inventory documents, verify information contained in documents and reports, contact vendors to get status of orders and expedite delivery, dispatch sales orders and act as a Person Designate (PD) for Human Tissue Authority (HTA) regulation.

Who are you:

*Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, finance or science.

*Minimum 2 years of previous experience in inventory management.

*Prior experience with quality management system, e-commerce and HTA regulation is a plus.

*Preferred background in managing laboratory inventory

*Must be reliable and able to work independently.

*Must be exceptionally well organized, able to plan and anticipate needs regarding inventory items and extremely detail oriented.

*Quick learner and those who can adapt well to new challenges are particularly desired.

*Confident user of computer and standard IT packages like MS Office 365.

*Excellent time management skills.

*Must be capable of lifting and handling heavy packages and using pallet trucks.

*£26,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications
