My client is a software company providing solutions to healthcare facilities and laboratories across Europe. Over 2500 laboratories across 35 nations are using their information management systems. Most of the European test laboratoria for COVID 19 rely on its platform. In order to support the growth and development of new products we are looking for a DEVOPS ENGINEER. It is a full time position in Ghent, permanent employment (NO CONSULTANTCY)
You join a Development Team of 30 people dedicated
to the development of a laboratory Information Management System. As DevOps Engineer
you’re driven by the automation and monitoring of all components used to build
software, from continuous integration, testing, release till deployment and
infrastructure management. You report to the development manager , share “best
practices” and guide and support the development team.
The ultimate goal is to set up a system of
continuous delivery/ deployment following the highest quality standards. You’re
proactive in setting up the ideal environment for the software development
process in order to maximize automation.
You manage the development infrastructure: VM-Server
farm, 3th party software updates and migrations/update for different kind of
database environments Linux/Windows, Oracle/progress.
You optimize and manage Jenkins-builds and automatic
deployments in all environments. You explore the possibilities of Docker and
implement it where it can be used to increase efficiency.
You implement and execute security, memory leak,
performance testing and monitoring. You investigate performance issues.
You assist on the migration to the cloud.
Finally you work closely with the developers and
tester for IT-related issues. You maintain the setup scripts for the
development environment. You create and install test environments.
You ‘ve previous experience in DeVops. You’re
familiar with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery. You’ve good
knowledge off: Jenkins/Git, Linux/Windows, VMWare and database environments.
You love to deliver high quality work and to take initiative for the optimization of processes.
