Our client, an international working industrial Swiss company is searching for a (Senior) Controller. In the Purchasing Team you would fill an important position. Remote work is minimum 40% possible. The location is less than one our from Zurich, Basel and Bern.
Tasks:
- Review direct and indirect material spend and purchasing price variances during the monthly closing
- Analyze and explain purchasing price variances vs budget and standard cost
- Analyze raw material development and the impact on purchasing prices
- Present purchasing performance for direct/indirect material purchases
- Support correct standard and product cost calculation during the budget process
- Support purchasing team by pointing out deviations and suggestions for improvements
- Improve process to measure purchasing performance throughout all entities
- Secure continuously financial accuracy in reporting and controlling
- Drive purchasing data and process standardization throughout the Group
- Calculate business cases related to Make or Buy decisions
- Keeping track on costs, savings and investments for projects in execution phase
- Engage with other functions within Operations and in general to secure successful execution
- Prepare financial plan on purchasing performance for the mid-term planning
- Work on projects together with Operation controllers
Profile:
- 5 years of background in Controlling on a local and/or central level, worked in a matrix organization is an advantage
- Experience with managing internal and external customers
- Fluent in English
- Skill to understand the big picture and then drill into details
- Ability to condense financial data into simple messages
