Oxfordshire based client, a global corporate in the internet, digital & new media space, wishes to appoint a proven Technical Business / Systems Analyst. To secure this position you will need to have a very strong understanding of software and/or applications development projects by background.

You will work closely with an Applications Development team. The team is developing new digital subscription based products for a diverse global customer market. Your core responsibilities will be as follows;

- Work closely with the existing Product Owner on back log of user stories to decide on where developers should be investing their time;
- Create new and groom existing user stories to assist development activity;
- Gather requirements by means of regular content with diverse business stakeholders outside of IT;
- Work closely with UX/UI specialists to assist in the development of WireFrames and also Feature Files.

Skills and experience necessary to secure this role;
- The team works to Agile methods and in 2 week sprints, so ideally you will be familiar with Agile from your recent projects experience;
- User story creation;
- BDD and familiarity with writing 'feature files';
- Gherkin - familiarity with this is a 'nice to have';
- Demonstrable experience of working closely with software developers;
- Excellent verbal communication and written English skills - an ability to flip between the non technical (appropriate to your audience) and very technical speak.

It may be that your original career began as a Applications Developer prior to becoming a Business / Systems Analyst. It is estimated that the successful candidate will have 5 years+ Business / Systems Analyst experience. A varied sector background consisting of a both private and public organisations is also favourable.

This position is intended to start in September 2018 as soon as the correct candidate can be found. The initial duration of contract is 6 months with a strong likelihood of extension.
