Badenoch & Clark is recruiting for a Systems & Database Technical Specialist for a Public Sector organisation based in West Yorkshire

Job Responsibilities

** You will be responsible for conducting effective and timely analysis of organisational, team and individual system requirements and producing appropriate application solutions to meet these needs
** Demonstrate/present potential solutions to customers, identifying additional requirements and changes
** Define outcome-based test criteria for requirements and participating in rigorous testing of developed applications to ensure both fit against requirement and to eliminate faulty code.
** Support the performance of systems and the use of applications by documenting changes and adopting appropriate operational policies and procedures
** Monitor, evaluate and review systems and database performance and the choice of 3rd party applications

Candidate Skills Required

** Previous experience working in a systems and database administration
** Experience of networks and Citrix/terminal services
** Experience of specifying, configuring and managing a variety servers, operating systems and database applications
** Evidence of working closely with Suppliers, other organisations and non-IM&T staff to successfully deliver mission critical projects
** Evidence of reviewing, documenting and administrating a variety of applications

Technologies used (primarily Microsoft)

** C# & T-SQL as languages
** VB.NET - maintenance purposes
** Java - if requirement dictates
** Windows, web, android and occasionally iOS - platforms

A valid UK driving Licence is required for this position.

It would be beneficial if you have experience of an emergency service but not essential however, necessary experience of system development is essential to be considered for the role.

This is a permanent position with interviews set to go ahead from the 22nd October 2018.
