Our client, a leading provider of affordable housing within the Yorkshire region and we are looking to recruit several more surveyors to work on a price per survey basis over the coming few weeks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking Stock Condition Surveys on our clients properties, with relation to stock condition, age, repairs and remaining life of building components.

It is therefore essential that you have a proven background building surveying background and also experience in the following:

* Carrying out condition surveys as part of a housing condition survey programme.
* Carrying out measurement surveys of houses
* In relation to the condition survey provide a specification to refurbish the house to a lettable standard, being aware of all regulations required for the refurbishment, therefore and understanding of the Building Regulations and other statutory legislation is required inclusive of Health & Safety regulations.
* Provide costs and cost breakdowns for the works required to any house.
* Liaising with estate agents, other agencies and tenants to gain access to properties to carry out the surveys
* Carrying out other building surveying related works out with the housing programme.


Role Requirements
* 2 years experience working in the social housing sector
* Demonstrable experience of carrying out a property/stock surveys
* Experience of working with housing asset databases and Data Management
* Detailed knowledge of the HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System)
* Demonstrable knowledge of building maintenance
* Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, regulations and codes of practice pertaining to housing and construction
* Demonstrable knowledge of social/residential property management

All selected candidates will have to complete a DBS before commencement of the contract.
