**INSIDE IR35**

Badenoch & Clark are working with their Public Sector client to recruit to a number of SQL Database Administrator positions.

These contracts are inside IR35 and will run for an initial 3 month period.

Duties of the role include:

* Design, implementation, administration and troubleshooting of the organisation's databases.
* Upgrading and migration of legacy databases to current levels and new hardware.
* Identification and implementation of solutions to optimise Database performance.
* Database capacity monitoring and management.
* Ensure Database backup and data retention policies are followed.
* Create and maintain network documentation to required standards.
* Provide on-call cover as part of an existing team, also occasional evening and weekend out of hours working.

To be successful you must have strong knowledge/experience of:

* Working experience of installing, configuring, administering and troubleshooting the organisation's databases.
* Working knowledge of monitoring, maintaining and upgrading databases in an enterprise level estate
o SQL Server 2000 Administration - Enterprise Manager
o SQL Server 2005 Administration - Management Studio
o SQL Server 2008\2008R2 Administration - Management Studio
o SQL Server 2012 Administration
o SQL Server 2016 Administration
o SQL Server Clustering and multiple instances
o SQL Server monitoring tools, database tuning, profiler, SCOM
o SQL Reporting Services
o SQL Integration Services
o Experience of using databases across WANs and performance optimisation.
o Experience of migrating applications and databases from and to Physical and VM servers.
o Understanding of SQL server licensing and roadmap
o Managing - SQL Servers in Azure
* Working knowledge of Windows server environments.
o Windows Server 2000
o Windows Server 2003
o Windows Server 2008\2008R2
o Windows Server 2012
o Windows Server 2016
o Windows Server Failover Clustering
o Windows Server monitoring tools, Perfmon, SCOM, SCCM
o Understanding of Windows server licensing and roadmap
