Badenoch and Clark's public sector client in Greater Manchester has an exciting
opportunity for a highly skilled Programme Support Officer to join their existing Programme Management Office.

You will be working on the organisation's key and high profile IT programme and be an integral part of guaranteeing successful programme organisation and delivery in a highly rewarding role. Rates are negotiable dependent on experience (expectation of around £250 - £325 per day, outside of IR35, but could be negotiable upwards) and the contract is due to start ASAP.

The main requirement of the successful candidate will be acting as a key, flexible and integral project facilitator for the delivery of a new key IT system into live service. The main stage of the project you will be integral to will be the planning, organisation and staff preparation of service readiness on the various project stages prior to system implementation.

This will involve the project planning and allocation of actions that come out of high-level strategy meetings, tracking progress against these deliverables and managing key risks, issues and dependencies on behalf of the Programme Office. You may also be asked to deliver in a Project Manager capacity during peak demands for project management resource, whilst also playing a key part in stakeholder engagement and communications management as part of the wider programme.

The ideal candidate will be used to acting as a highly relied upon senior Project Support Officer / junior Project Manager on key IT programmes. You will be proven working in structured, methodical and well governed Programme Management Offices, but will also be agile and flexible to fit within quickly changeable project and programme support requirements. You will be happy to take on some administrative tasks, but will be capable of designing project plans and stepping in to project management and project governance requirements as and when required. Experience of working within public sector IT projects would be beneficial.
