Responsibilities will include:
*Acting as the deputy for the FP&A manager, to fully support in carrying out the duties required of the role and to provide cover for any absence. Assisting with coaching and developing the Management Accountants
*Preparing monthly Management Accounts and presenting these to the Central Overhead Directors, to include variance analysis to budget and forecasts, for 3 key areas of the business; Procurement, Fleet and Operational HR. To also act as Finance Business Partner to these areas
*Analysing and understanding key variances, investigating the root cause of any inaccurate postings and driving resolution of these, or taking appropriate action to mitigate the risk. To also challenge the cost centre budget owners to provide information when necessary
*Fully supporting the Directors with any financial requirements for analysis, including providing recommendations for areas of cost reduction
*Completing monthly accruals and prepayments, combined with fully supporting analysis and explanations
*Completing monthly exceptional and risks/opportunities schedules for your area of responsibilities. Ensuring full understanding of the underlying performance of these areas
*Producing monthly rolling Forecasts, Budget and Strategic plan
*Completing balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring any risks are identified and mitigated on a timely basis. Ensuring robustness and completeness of financial records. To also encourage transparency with reporting to stakeholders
*Identifying ways to improve the quality and integrity of the data and processes, implementing automation where feasible. Developing and improving procedures, adopting best practice for the industry and driving continuous process improvement
*Providing collaborative support to Senior Finance Management in their duties where required
*Preparing ad hoc reports and responding to queries as required
*Preparing and providing information for audit as necessary
