The Badenoch & Clark Housing Team are proud to be working in partnership with a growing Housing Association based in South East London. The organisation has experienced extensive growth & investment over the last 5 years and as a result of our recent skills audit we are working in partnership to recruit for a Senior Internal Auditor.

Job Responsibilities:
The senior internal auditor is responsible for performing more technical internal audit projects and ad hoc assignments, as part of the total internal audit plan, and for preparing high quality internal audit reports to reflecting the results of the work performed.

The Package:
£50,000 - £52,000 (depending on experience) + flexible benefits

Responsibilities include:
*Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of business processes, risk environment and control frameworks to support continuous improvement objectives
*Work collaboratively with strategic and operational management to identify and deliver improvements in the risk and control environment and to maintain trusting relationships
*Scope and prepare draft audit assignment Terms of Reference which are risk based and relevant to business objectives, for review and agreement by the HIA and audit client
*Use the audit management system to record high quality, evidence based testing schedules and working records ensuring conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process and risks under review
*Prepare high quality, evidence based internal audit reports which reflect the results of the work performed and clearly support recommendations for improvement.
*Lead meetings with audit clients to ensure understanding of audit objectives, findings and recommendations, offering practical and achievable solutions for improvement to operations and the control environment

*Deliver internal audit assignments in accordance with prescribed deadlines, Internal Audit Procedures and performance standards and in accordance with Professional Audit Standards (PSIAS)

-Strong internal audit experience within a UK business or housing association
-Extensive risk and controls experience
-Strong data analytics skills
-Strong exposure to senior stakeholder engagement
-This role will be based in East Croydon please only apply to this role if the location is accessible for you to commute to on a daily basis.
