Senior Group Accountant (Asset management experience is a must )

A leading asset management firm based in London is looking for a Senior Group accountant to join its London office. This role has a direct reporting line to there head office based in London

The Senior Accountant will be managing the accounting of 3 UK entities. The successful candidate
Will provide assistance to the UK staff and liaising with the Group Accounting team based in Paris and the UK external accounting firm. The successful individual will also participate to the implementation of the ERP Oracle.

Accounts Payable role:
*Daily Management of invoices and payments (Accounts Payable)
*Invoices booking / validation process
*Prepare payment batches in connection with our Treasury department
*Monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

General Accounting role:
Participate and review quarterly reporting packages for 3 UK entities in connection with our External Accounting firm:

*Manual journal entries to book in connection with the Controlling team (Accruals etc…)
*Work closely with our External Accounting to ensure the package is accurate before submission to the Group
*Intercompany reconciliations
*Bank reconciliations
*Adhoc duties and queries: clearing queries, write offs, FX queries etc…
*Deal with the Company Auditors :
*Provide them with the requested documentation
*Answering their questions
*Review of the financial statement produced by our External Accounting before submission to the group

Tax coordination role:
*Review VAT submission for the UK entities prepared by our External Accounting firm (possibility to insource this task)
*Assist with any queries from administration and the collation of data for relevant reports.
*Preparation of various payments to Tax Authorities
*Liaise with our External Accounting firm for the Corporation Income Tax

Process & Accounting system evolution:
oParticipate in the implementation of our new accounting system (ERP Oracle) in the UK
oOptimisation of internal processes

Experience required
*A reliable, efficient and motivated individual with at least 4 years' experience in Capital Markets / Asset Management relevant to the Accounts
*"Hands on" professional experience required
*Strong knowledge in UK GAAP standards and IFRS
*Good with Microsoft Office tools

Preferred skills

*Ability to take on responsibility / ownership for processes and actively drive towards results.
*Strong communication skills (verbal, writing, listening)
*Ability to work in an international / changing environment
*Ability to interact with different offices & contributors
*Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
*A level or equivalent education standard required; degree education preferred
*Demonstrated pursuit of career in Finance & Accounting preferred.
*French language is a plus
