Job Purpose:

The job holder will be part of the Reinsurance Accounts team within the Finance area, working under their own direction and as part of the team. The Reinsurance Accounts team covers a variety of tasks including ensuring that policy data received from clients adheres to treaty terms and conditions, verification and settlement of claims and accurate provision of technical accounting for the Branch. The job holder will liaise with colleague across the UK business as required.

Job Responsibilities:

* Data Entry into in-house systems;
o Input of intimated and settled claims for the larger treaties into Nova claims module.
o Preparing claims statements ready for settling for allocated treaties ensuring that specific client's claims information is accurately and fully recorded, ready for the technicians to process through to payment.
o Input of technical items onto the technical accounting system.

* Support members of the team with their portfolio of clients, ensuring that all policy data and accounts provided by the clients adhere to the agreed treaty terms and conditions, and are dealt with within stated service standards.
* Ensuring that all claim settlement requests from own client portfolio are financially valid and in accordance with treaty terms, and settled within stated service standards.
* Other ad-hoc administrative tasks as may be required to support the team in their day to day.
* Assisting with the maintenance of process and controls for the Reinsurance Accounts team.
* Maintain good relations with colleagues and liaise with them as necessary on relevant issues.
* Maintain good relations with clients, supported by an operational visit programme where appropriate.


* Educated up to A'Level standard ideally within numerically based subjects.
* Experience working within an operational area within Insurance ideally Life Insurance.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and to specific deadlines.
* High level of accuracy and able to adhere to policy guidelines
* Experience of Microsoft Office applications.
