Our client, a Local Authority based in the North West, requires an experienced procurement professional, on an interim basis.

The appointed person will be required to;
- Proactively plan and manage procurement projects
- Support the development and delivery of a strategic sourcing programme for the defined category area
- Lead the development of high value relationships with suppliers
- Participate in contract management activity
- Deliver value for money, identify cost savings and provide innovative solutions to efficiencies
- Ensure procurement governance is adhered to on a UK, EU and Local Government level

The post holder will need to have experience of procurement in a public sector setting.
