A superb opportunity has emerged for a Private Sector Housing Officer to join one of East London's strongest performing local authorities in an ongoing temporary role.

this is a full time role (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and the client is looking for the successful candidate to have experience in:

*Providing a full range of property management services across all types of private rented housing options under the Council's 18 month pilot Private Housing Solutions Team.
*Acting as the main front-line link between the tenants, landlords, the Council and its partners in delivering property management activities including income management, tackling anti-social behaviour and co-ordinating repairs.
*Working in conjunction with the other Housing Supply and Projects Teams to ensure that acquired properties are viewed and let swiftly.
*Dealing with the acquisitions of supply of accommodation from private sector landlords, provision of support and tenancy sustainment service to landlords and tenants.
* Contributing to meeting performance targets set for the PHST (Private Housing Solutions Team) and help make continuous service improvements throughout the pilot period
* Ensuring that tenants have a full and clear understanding of the terms of all tenancy types under the PHST including Non-secure tenancies, Assured Short-hold tenancies and Licences.
* Assisting in managing the supply and demand of the private housing options which may including operating a tenancy move-on programme or promoting private rented landlord incentives to increasing or retain private rented accommodation.
