My client, a large governmental department, is looking for a lawyer with strong Planning law experience to join them on an interim basis, conducting Planning litigation on behalf of a variety of Government departments. This contract will initially for a period of 11 months.
You will be assisting with a busy caseload of planning law related work primarily including;
*Conducting a Planning Litigation law caseload.
*Complying with tight court and client deadlines.
*Attending court hearings with Counsel including in the Regional Courts.
*Assisting with the team's knowledge management and providing input into client legal awareness projects.
*Conducting team meetings and drafting detailed instructions to Counsel.
*Drafting detailed advice on legal merits, risks and litigation strategy.
You will be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales or hold an equivalent qualification and experience from another jurisdiction with extensive experience in planning litigation, preferably with public sector experience.
