This leading professional services firm are looking to recruit an experienced Media Relations Manager to manage their media relations activities.

*Assist in developing and delivering the firm-wide media relations strategy aligned to the Smith & Williamson proposition, business objectives, service line and sectors
*Assist in developing new formats and partnerships, overseeing a strong distribution and media strategy, ensuring robust measurement informs improvements, and continuing to drive an integrated working approach amongst content
*Work with colleagues within the Content and Media Relations team to coordinate output/themes/specific topics
*Work with the Group Media Relations agencies, briefing them as an extension of the team
*Maintain contact with agreed press contacts to understand their news agendas, identifying issues on which directors can comment whilst cultivating collaborative relationships
*Draft and edit press releases and other material. This may involve editing technical information to make it relevant to the audience in question
*Act as a media spokesperson on behalf of the company and address questions/complaints
*Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the firm by providing a proactive, positive support service
*Monitor the competitor, regulatory, industry and economic environments in order to innovate creative and fresh ideas to the team
Experience and Skills:
*Demonstrate extensive experience in media relations within either professional services or financial services
*Have contact within the UK financial services / investment press
*Personable and diplomatic, with the ability to communicate well with colleagues
*Excellent oral and written communication skills
*Attention to detail and a good level of accuracy
*Multiple projects Project Management
*Calm, organised and able to work under pressure
*Knowledge of relevant IT packages, e.g. PowerPoint, Excel
