Legal Counsel sought by FTSE listed technology group to join a small team of highly respected commercial lawyers due to the internal promotion of the previous incumbent.

The primary focus of the Legal Counsel will be to provide quality legal and commercial advice to the business, providing a review and negotiation service to a wide range of contracts including IT, technology and managed services. This Legal Counsel opportunity is highly visible within the organisation, with autonomy for your own workload and exposure to senior executives across the leadership team including the Chief Executive and Group CFO.

Whilst largely commercial in nature, the Legal Counsel will enjoy a breadth of responsibility and gain experience across all areas of law including IP, regulatory, data protection advice, public procurement law, employment law, consumer law and dispute handling.

Appropriate applicants to the developmental Legal Counsel opportunity will be qualified Solicitors (or equivalent) with experience of reviewing general commercial and technology related contracts. Additional exposure to other areas of law including IP, outsourcing, procurement, regulatory and employment would be useful, but are not an absolute pre-requisite.

Candidates from both an in-house and practice environment will considered on merit with the hope of interviews being completed in August in order to have an offer extended by the end of the summer holiday period, so please apply now for further information and a confidential discussion about your current circumstances.
