My client, an international Real Estate company, seeks a Legal Counsel for their Leeds City Centre offices.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:
oDevelop a thorough understanding of and familiarity with the company's business, its people, skill lines, markets, facilities, customers, and competitors and use this knowledge in providing guidance and counsel to the company.
oFacilitate the business objectives of the company by providing practical, timely and effective legal support, while minimizing potential legal risks
oPreparation, drafting and negotiation of major commercial contracts and agreements within various skill lines
oReviewing and negotiating contracts with reference to the company's internal risk and compliance requirements and negotiating
oReview and assist with responses to tenders and RFPs
oNegotiate draft and finalise commercial client contracts for a range of services, including but not limited to asset services, agency, valuations, facilities management, project management, ratings and consultancy.
oNegotiate MSAs and framework agreements where services are to be provided globally, liaising with Counsel and Commercial business partners from other jurisdictions as appropriate
oImplement, maintain and manage internal controls, governance and processes relating to approval and signing of contracts
oDevelopment of precedent database

oDegree level qualification
oQualified Solicitor

Core Knowledge & Experience:
oExperience of drafting contracts, attending meetings and negotiating terms
oHave a good knowledge of the law relating to Services and Supply Contracts, IP contracts, IT contracts and Procurement Contracts
