Badenoch & Clark have an immediate opening for a skilled contract JavaScript full stack Developer for one of our key clients based in Oxfordshire.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, the key to securing this role is the need to speak fluent Spanish! If you are not a fluent Spanish speaker your application to this post will not be successful.

This position will allow you the opportunity to work from home the majority of the time. You will communicate regularly with a small team of developers who are based in Spain (who also work for our client, not employees of a 3rd party vendor). With this team you will work on the development of a product that is used by Education sector customers in Spain and other Spanish speaking countries globally.

The most important technical skills needed for this role are; JavaScript (up to ES6), Node.JS and familiarity with REACT (other frameworks useful to have but the focus is very much on REACT).

Our client uses a varied suite of other technologies, exposure to which will be to your advantage but Node.JS and REACT are considered of primary importance. Examples of the other technologies in use include...
- Jest, Enzyme, Mocha, Chai & Tape.
- HTML5 and CSS3.
- Emerging web standards.
- Server side JavaScript development (Express or Koa).
- Ajax, HTTP, Proxy coaching.
- GIT/GitHub.
- Type Script & Flow.
- Continuous integration tools; Circle CI, Travis, Jenkins.
- AWS (cloud).

Key Deliverables:
You will be responsible for delivering a range of full life cycle software/product development tasks including...
- Writing well designed, testable, efficient code;
- Integrating new software components and features into existing the existing product;
- Performing functional and non-functional unit and component testing as needed;
- Actively communicating with the business to address and resolve 'questions' regarding the existing product and web based features;
- Supporting new code deployment to enable efficient and accurate implementations of new features.

- Desire to work full time, standard 35 hour/5 day week;
- Proactive, communicative and demonstrating a desire to keep abreast of new technologies. Willing to explore innovative ways of working that may enhance or improve existing products and features.
