My client, a global enterprise with HQ in Oxfordshire (6000+ staff), wishes to appoint a proven IT Infrastructure Project Manager.

Client is undertaking a complex global migration of core business applications to a new Cloud environment. The focus of this role will be the migration of applications from legacy to new data centres globally, ensuring BAU status is maintained for the business during the migration process.

As IT Infrastructure Project Manager your core tasks will be to;

- Manage the migrations of applications to the new platform, raising change requests and ensuring that migration tests have been completed as applicable.
- Ensure all incidents in the warranty period are managed and resolved appropriately.
- Ensure successful cutover to BAU support teams.
- Oversee the de-commissioning of existing legacy data centres.
- Plan and oversee the de-commissioning of main data centres locally.
- Manage the transfer of equipment from legacy to new data centres.
- Work closely with service delivery teams to ensure "to be" service and support models are fit for purpose and run smoothly during the application migration process.

Tasks described above will need to be delivered for both UK and global regions. Demonstrable experience of managing similar projects (datacentre or Cloud) on a global level will be strongly to your advantage.

It is expected that you will have a minimum of 5 years relevant IT infrastructure project management experience, but probably more. Other skills which will be to your advantage include Prince2(ideally Practitioner) and/or ITIL certification and experience of working in Agile environments.

Aside from your technical projects experience, important behavioural characteristics include a collaborative working style, ability to 'own' your core deliverables (proactive in resolving issues but not afraid to speak truth when needed to those up chain), being patient but with an underlying burning desire to get the job done without fuss and to a high standard.

This position is intended to start immediately, in Sept. The initial contract is for 6 months but with a strong likelihood of extending to 1 year plus.
