My client, a Local Authority in the West Midlands is looking for some additional interim support for their strategic commissioning service particularly in relation to Older People.

They are looking for a senior commissioner with the ability to come in as a consultant an provide some much needed strategic expertise and additional capacity in relation to their reablement services.

The ideal candidate will come with knowledge of the issues around Adult Carers, the ability to write a commissioning strategy and a track record in managing commissioned contracts.

There will also be interaction with a number of professional partners, so the successful candidate will need strong stakeholder management skills.

Any knowledge of iBCF would also be hugely beneficial.

This role can be carried out on a 3 day per week basis and the intention will be to set some clear deliverables over a 3 month period. Therefore the role is likely to be out of scope of IR35.
