We are currently recruiting for a an Interim Housing Service Manager for a large Council in the West Midlands, they are looking for a strategic individual to help lead and shape housing at the authority.

*To provide the City Council's Housing Services in respect of strategy, policy and governance, in the context of the City's economic and regeneration strategies.
*To lead the Strategy and Policy Team, taking responsibility for the general coordination of housing strategy and policy based on housing needs in the City and working with external partners and agencies to deliver the City's housing priorities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

*Overall management and co-ordination of the team's resources, including information monitoring, market intelligence and performance management.
*Prepare, implement, monitor and review Housing and other related strategies across all tenures, including homeless and prevention strategies and plans.
*Plan, deliver and procure through partners, housing regeneration and renewal projects including new build and refurbishment of public and private sector housing stock including general and special needs accommodation.
*Develop and work with external housing partners, agencies and local communities in the development, monitoring and review of strategies, plans, policies and ensure delivery of the City's housing priorities.
*Develop, implement and review the Council's housing asset strategy and priorities and the Council's capital and revenue investment strategies in housing.
*Develop, implement and review the Council's housing strategies and policies across all tenures and implement changes and revisions to meet legislative changes and City priorities.
*Ensure that the Council's contractual agreements with Tenant Management organisations, and any other managing agents are delivered, monitored and enforced as per the terms of the agreement.
*Develop, implement and monitor the Team Service Plan and associated work programmes.
